What makes Central England Co-operative different from other businesses is that we are subject to a democratic process whereby every member has the right to have their say in how we are run.
Our board is responsible for the governance of the Society, and appoints the chief executive to manage the business with the senior management team.
Central England Co-operative is owned by its members and they can attend members' meetings and take part in annual elections. The meetings are held at various locations across our trading area, giving all members the chance to participate in the running of the Society.
All attendees have the opportunity to give feedback, ask questions and suggest ideas for developing and enhancing our services. After the meetings there is an opportunity to get together with other members and find out more about our trading businesses.
Any qualifying member of the Society can attend meetings.
